Hinode Japanese Language Institute is one of Nepal’s oldest and trusted Japanese Language Institutions. Founded in 1996 with the vision of promoting high-quality Japanese language learning while strengthening cultural and educational connections between Nepal and Japan. For nearly three decades, we have been supporting hundreds of individuals successfully to build their future in Japan.
Hinode is a member school of the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association Nepal (JALTAN), which works in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Nepal and the Japan Foundation. Through these professional connections, our institute maintains strong academic standards and stays aligned with modern Japanese language teaching practices.
Our students learn in a friendly and supportive environment guided by experienced instructors, many of whom have received training from the Japan Foundation or have academic and professional experience in Japan. Along with language education, we emphasize practical knowledge of Japanese culture, lifestyle, and communication so students can adapt smoothly to life in Japan. We also provide opportunities for interaction with native Japanese speakers to strengthen real-world communication skills.
We offer flexible learning options including both online and in-person classes, with schedules available in the morning, daytime, and evening. Our programs include preparation courses for major Japanese language examinations such as the JLPT, JFT Basic, NAT-TEST, JLCT etc. & Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) exams.
Over the years, the institute has also contributed to the development of Japanese language education in Nepal. Hinode published Nepal’s first a Japanese–Nepali dictionary, helping expand learning resources for students across the country. In addition, we have supported Japanese language education initiatives in various regions of Nepal, including programs for indigenous communities.
Beyond classroom education, we provide free counseling and guidance for students planning to study in Japan. Our team assists with academic planning, understanding Japanese education systems, and preparing for the next steps toward studying at Japanese universities or vocational schools. Today, many of our graduates are successfully studying and working in Japan and contributing to international cooperation between Nepal and Japan.
